'Cause I'm done. TGIF. Yay weekend. And all those fun sentiments. After three days of classes, this weekend is going to be fun-filled with all my books and sleeping in and such stuff, because I'm exhausted. Fell asleep on the train on my way home this afternoon, only to wake up in a panic about five minutes later thinking I had missed the stop at school (train going home != bus going to school, what they hey brain?). Yeah, just a little brain-dead, but give me a week and it'll all be fine.
So, Thursday. More of the same introductions. Turns out that the bookstore got the wrong stuff for Microbiology, so have to wait until next week to see if they've got the (cheaper) stuff in...then decide if it's worth it to lug the two books down to campus, deal with the bookstore, lug two books around campus all day, and then lug them home. Well, it would mean that I'd get some homework done while there, as well as a very healthy dose of reading?
Between the Math Lab and the Writing Center, I'm working nearly 20 hours each week. 7 in one, 7 in the other, and then another 2-3 for grading homework. Yes, I get paid to lightly scan statistics homework and not tell people what they did wrong (unless I feel like it, but I generally don't. The errors are sometimes quite egregious and soul-sucking and I don't have the time to fight 30-odd assignments for my soul, I'm trying to get into the nursing program here!)
The Mr and I have been watching a lot of Star Wars recently - we watched the original trilogy over the last 3 weekends, and tonight we saw the Phantom Menace. It's nice and relaxing, and I can't believe that I'm saying that. I generally don't watch movies, and this summer we saw the entire Indiana Jones trilogy, and are working through all 6 of the Star Wars films, as well as others. One weekend we simply watched a bunch of the Thumb movies (Blair Thumb, Bathumb...those ones.)
Next time: actually starting to learn in these here classes, and day one as a (paid) worker in the Writing Center. I get to open the place up, go me?
