Classes are all fun and games, until a teacher doesn't really think about the overall level of her class. Yes, it may be boring for those who have years and years of dance experience, but I saw at least two people who didn't know the first thing about what was going on, and I wasn't much better. Maybe next week she'll work out a lesson plan that focuses more on bringing the lower-level students up towards the higher-level students.
The rest of them were meh, in general. Dr. Rogers apologized for "pushing" me to volunteer, but it really didn't matter. Nothing overly special, starting the axial skeleton in anatomy.
Rethinking my desire for a French minor. The professor...I just don't know. It may be that there is such a wide range of levels in this class, and will be in all the future classes. I want to say stuff that will lead probably half the class to go "huh?" because they just don't understand. Like the other day, we were talking about how to act in an interview. I wanted to say "Il faut qu'on sera polit." (You should be polite) But they never learned that verb tense. So I had to reformat on the fly, which is tough. And then he had to use me to demonstrate the whole "shake hands" thing. It was painful to me, since he shook my hand hard, and I've a bad wrist. Repetitive stress, possibly something in my neck, I don't know, but it's been going on for years and frankly, I don't like to be touched by people I don't know well. So it was squicky.
Loving the whole exercise thing. Aside from insomnia, I'm feeling much better.
Next time: Quizzes and birthdays, oh my!
